The main role of a Condom Distribution Outlet
Is to distribute condoms on behalf of the Free Condoms Service.
Each organisation should:
- Nominate a lead contact person.
- Notify the Free Condoms Service if the nominated lead changes.
- Reply to email requests from the Free Condoms Service to ensure a high quality service is maintained.
- Deliver the service in line with the service values.
- Know their own existing policies and guidelines in connection to child and adult protection in case they need to raise any concerns.
- Order products as required.
The Lead contact will:
- Be the first point of contact for the Free Condoms service team
- Provide advice and support to other staff in their organisation who will be involved in distributing Free Condom products
- Promote the service appropriately within their organisation to ensure that all service users are aware of the availability of the Free Condoms Service and are encouraged to use it
- Agree to discuss the range of products available and how to use them if the service user wishes
