About Free Condoms Service

We provide Free Condoms to anyone who lives, works or studies in the NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde area.

The service has been designed to be user friendly for both the service user and condom distribution outlets.  It is discreet and simple with no requirement to register or answer questions.  You can get your free condoms and lubricant from one of the many participating outlets.

Free Condoms and COVID 19

Whilst it may be possible to access Free Condoms at venues local to you, it is important to note that some outlets may still be operating reduced hours or closed at short notice in response to the ongoing COVID-19 situation.  As a temporary measure we have also set up a Free Condoms by post service where products are delivered by post.

We provide Free Condoms and lubricant in the Greater Glasgow and Clyde area.  You can pick up from one of our participating outlets (including pharmacies, pubs and clubs, housing and addiction services) or use our postal service .

Our staff are approachable and non-judgmental.  We will respect your confidentiality and anonymity.

You have to be aged 13 or over but we don't have an upper age limit. We don't need your name, address or any other personal details.  If staff are concerned about your safety they will discuss with you if another service may be contacted to support you.

You can just ask for the Free Condoms and/or lubricant but if you would rather not ask you can use one of our choice cards which are out on display in many of our outlets. You can also download it to your phone or tablet.  Tick the card with your preferred condom and simply show the staff.

We can also post you out a supply of Choice Cards.  Just fill in the request a choice card form using the link below.  All packages will be marked 'private & confidential'

You can pick up Free Condoms if you are aged 13-15. Outlet staff need to be confident that there are no concerns to your safety before they can give you condoms.  They need to be sure that you fully consent to sexual activity and aren't being pressurised in any way.  You might be asked:

  • The age of you and your partner?
  • How long you have been together?
  • Are you happy with your decision to have sex?
  • Do you know how to use condoms?
  • Do you understand any potential risks?
  • Are there any concerns about your health, safety or wellbeing?
